Yogi Green Tea Blueberry Slim Life Herbal Tea Supplement 16-Count Tea Bags (Pack of 6)

deliciously fragrant tea and energy booster5

I was surprised when I first brewed this tea -- it turned purple! Turns out it has a delicious blueberry/orange scent which is a surprise since I wasn't expecting any flavor from this tea. After drinking the tea I got an energy boost and a clean feeling in my stomach. It's a good way to keep going without snacking.More detail ...

Kirkland Signature Ito En Matcha Blend 100% Japanese Green Tea Leaves 100 Tea Bags

Best Green Tea!5

I never liked green tea. I always found the taste terrible and bitter when compared to black tea. And even though I have tried to acquire the taste for green tea by trying many different varieties I have always been unsuccessful until... I was introduced to this Japanese tea. It is truly wonderful! It is mildly slightly sweet and aromatic. The nylon tea bag and individually sealed packages are great as well. A truly great green tea!More detail ...

Matcha Green Tea Powder (1/2 lb.)

Happy about the quality5

I've been a tea drinker for a while and green tea is my favorite so I am very familiar with the green tea and matcha products. While I do enjoy green tea au lait latte frappe and tea with honey or sugar I like the plain green tea the best since they are 0 calories and help stimulates your metabolism. Plain green teas are naturally bitter it is a taste you have to acquire. But once you have the taste for it you'll see a whole new different world of tea.

I was looking for green tea powders in make simple matcha. After some research I decided to give this a try. Sure it's not the ceremonial grade green tea but you are paying what you get and I think this is the best I can get at this price. Like all other reviews yes a little goes a long way. The shipping is fast I definitely will come back for more.

By the way one reason I purchased this tea powder is because the tea is made in Taiwan not China. Many of my Japanese friends advised me to avoid tea powders from China. There are stories about the artificial coloring and filler additives. While the these horror stories are not verified I certainly do not want to be the one to find out first-handed.More detail ...

Ito En (Oi Ocha) Japanese Green Tea 16.9-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 12)

The original Oi Ocha sold in Japan5

Nothing against the prior reviewer who does not believe this is the original Oi Ocha but I must say though...as a repeat buyer both of these 16.9 oz. bottles from Amazon as well as 2 liter imports straight from Japan the two are identical. Every now and then I feel like having the stronger Oi Ocha Koi Aji (not sold by Amazon as of the time of this review) so I'm familiar with it as well. I've uploaded three photos comparing the packaging as well as closeups of exactly 1.0 fl. oz. of each. (The prior reviewer's pic has ice no listed amount and appears to be far darker than the Koi Aji he believes it is.) Hopefully this will help folks decide for themselves...as for me I'll just keep on drinking my favorite beverage.

On to the actual review...for informational purposes most of the bottled "green tea" sold in the US is nothing like real green tea. It's essentially tea-flavored kool-aid with ingredients that have no business being there. Do not expect Oi Ocha to taste anything like these beverages and you won't be disappointed.

Mellow and ever-so-slightly nutty Oi Ocha's flavor is delicate subtle and amazingly refreshing. Drink it as cold as possible and store unused portions in the refrigerator after opening. (Left out and oxidized it turns dark and the taste goes bad. I have a theory that this is what the prior reviewer may have inadvertently done.) It doesn't have a single calorie and contains 120% of your daily value of vitamin C per serving but I don't drink it because it happens to be healthy...I drink it because it tastes so very very good. Oi Ocha is the best.More detail ...

Lipton Green Tea Bags Superfruit Purple Acai with Blueberry 20-Count Boxes (Pack of 6)

Mostly hype1

I love Lipton's Mixed Berry and Orange Passionfruit Jasmine green teas so I was very excited to see these new flavors. Not being able to decide which to try I bought all three. Couldn't wait to brew up a cup of Red Goji and Raspberry. Noticed there wasn't a lot of fragrance when I opened the bag but thought well maybe it'll release when brewed. Blech! What a disappointment! The predominant flavor is strongly the bitterness of green tea. Since then I have tried all three of these new "Superfruit" flavors and I am extremely disappointed in every one of them. The Purple Acai and Blueberry one has the most fragrant smelling teabag but the results are just as disappointing. Despite all the hype and the pretty packaging there is very little flavor to any of these except for the green tea flavor. Looking for someone to give this stuff to because I really won't drink it. By the way I drink a lot of tea and a lot of different kinds of black green and herbal teas and I do know Earl Grey from Irish Breakfast and rooibos from chamomile and yerba mate'.More detail ...

Twinings Green Tea K-Cups for Keurig Brewers 25-Count Boxes (Pack of 2)

Surprisingly Bitter2

I admit to being sceptical about having an instant tea that I would normally let steep for 5 minutes. This is the most bitter green tea I have ever drank. Maybe it's too concentrated or the water's not hot enough. I tried different drink size options and that didn't work. Maybe the black teas are better. I'll stick to a different green tea and brew it the old fashioned way.More detail ...
